  • Vitaly Sukochev

    PHD, MA, LMFT

Vitaly genuinely wants you to be happy, and will do what he can to make sure you are. He thrives on understanding. Thus, clients that work with him will certainly be understood for who they are, what they need, and what is holding them back. Don’t be shy to confuse Vitaly with the real tough stuff, the serious topics that weigh heavy on your mind. Vitaly has a particular knack for working with issues like Grief & Loss, Meaning of Life and Life Transitions, Spiritual Crises and Spiritual and other forms of Abuse. Also, he especially enjoys working with Christians, people who survived traumas, people struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, and people that experience the “dark-side” of being left alone for many of different reasons. Vitaly is a particularly passionate about supporting and empowering individuals, families, and couples who feel like they are outsiders, lost, or even feel like they don’t fit within averagely “normal” cultural norms and values. Vitaly is certainly one to get right into the thick of it with you and walk alongside until you have arrived where you want to be. Multilingual and providing service in the US and in few other countries, Vitaly has enormous cultural diversity experience he is utilizing in his therapy. Along with well-known classical “talk therapy” models of work in therapy field, Vitaly is also certified in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), BrainSpotting (BSP), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) which are few of the best none-talk ways to help clients let go of their past and present and move forward.

  • Tim Herzog

    MA, LAMFT

I am glad that you are looking into using MN Counseling and Couples Center as a place to help with difficult situations you may find yourself in right now. I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, soon to drop the associate label. I was trained in an Adlerian institution following Alfred Adler psychotherapy, who said “Meanings are not determined by situations, but we determine ourselves by the meanings we give situations”. I have been a marriage and family therapist in this current decade. Prior to working here at MNCCC I had been an information technologist for decades. A career change happened when my marriage of twenty years suddenly dissipated, and my situation changed to being a ‘single’ adult again. Being devastated, I determined myself to have a new meaning to be someone who helps those in similar situations to have the best outcome.
